Developing Educational Games Across Schools at UW-Madison

Presented by: Greg Vaughan & Mike Beall

Room: Plenary Room (1310)

Time: 3:15-3:35 PM

Description:

Gear Learning has collaborated with multiple UW-Madison schools to develop impactful games that help convey difficult and complex content to users of all ages. Working with multiple fields has given Gear an opportunity to develop processes and procedures for collaborating with experts in any content area to develop games comparable with today’s major titles. We’ll discuss how our iterative approach can be applied to any collaboration, and talk a bit about some of our recent projects.

Participants will learn some key ways in which they can begin to form cross-school collaborations and how to successfully communicate, resulting in a quality product.
