The university generates data of all sizes, from a few megabytes to hundreds of terabytes. And let’s face it, storing all that data can be costly. In this virtual session, we’ll introduce Object Storage (S3), a campus-hosted data storage service offering lower-cost storage to departments and permanent staff, and no-cost storage for eligible researchers. Discover how this service can significantly reduce storage costs and enable new ways to use and distribute data. You’ll participate in a live demonstration of this service using a free file browser application, Cyberduck, and the Python library, Boto3.
