Biography

Rebekah Novak is a certified PMP with over ten years of project management experience in the public and private sector. She is the product owner for a wide range of applications developed and supported by the MERIT Software Development team in the School of Education. She manages many software projects, from projects in enterprise software, custom web applications, and full business workflows across multiple systems. Prior to working at UW-Madison, she worked as a quality assurance software tester and project manager at Epic with several Patient Access teams.

Rebekah loves figuring out complex systems, learning new things, and using her creativity to brainstorm, test, and throw as many wrenches as she can at a problem. She believes project management at its core is the art of understanding people and using that understanding to do difficult things to achieve great outcomes.
