Biography
Cori Schmidtbauer is an Instructional Designer in DoIT-AT Learn@UW supporting non-credit programs. She has worked in higher education for 15 years in various roles and as an instructional designer for the past 10 years. Cori has a passion for utilizing educational technology to create engaging programs that incorporate best practices of learning theory and design, user experience, and accessibility. Additionally, she is adept at evaluating courses and programs for quality assurance.
Cori joined UW-Madison in February 2020. During the height of the pandemic, she participated in Continuity of Instruction efforts by consulting with faculty on transitioning their face-to-face classes to the online environment for remote instruction. She also collaborates with colleagues and campus partners on the best methods to design, develop, and facilitate high-impact e-learning engagement.
In her spare time, Cori enjoys ice skating, visiting supper clubs and local wineries, exploring State and National Parks, or a quiet evening with her two cats: Leo and Emory.
