Biography

Steve Behring joined the University of Wisconsin Madison as a Cybersecurity Risk Analyst for the Office of Cybersecurity in 2019 and now serves as a Cybersecurity Architect and Engineer at the School of Medicine and Public Health. His work focuses on finding pragmatic solutions at the intersection of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) and the complex technical underpinnings that allow the business to keep moving. Prior to UW Madison, Steve worked for several years as an IT Auditor as he rehabilitated himself from his public accounting background. He holds a number of GRC and information security certifications with a recent focus on public cloud technical skills.
