DoIT Help Desk Documentation Lead
Dana Gerber-Margie has been at DoIT for 5 years. She began as a Help Desk Level 2 support agent in 2017, and transitioned to her current role as the DoIT Help Desk Documentation Lead. She is primarily in charge of ensuring Help Desk agents and end-users have the resources they need to resolve their technical issues quickly and easily. Prior to working in IT, she was an audio archivist for the Wisconsin Historical Society and Recollection Wisconsin. Dana also co-founded a newsletter about podcasts called Bello Collective, co-led a Mellon grant called “Preserve This Podcast!” teaching digital preservation for independent podcasts, and freelances for podcasts today. She earned her Master’s in Library & Information Science from UW-Madison and a Bachelor’s in Russian History from UC Berkeley.
