Biography

Kate Kingery serves as Director of Consulting for the UW Office of Strategic Consulting. She has more than 25 years of experience leading and facilitating high-impact, multi-stakeholder initiatives across government, philanthropy, and higher education.

Previously, Kate directed the community transformation portfolio for County Health Rankings & Roadmaps, a national program of the UW Population Health Institute and Robert Wood Johnson Foundation focused on improving health and racial equity in the 3,000 counties across the country. She provided strategic and operational leadership for the community coaching team, data translation, national partnerships, impact evaluations, and media outreach for the annual County Health Rankings release. Kate has also spent more than a decade consulting with mission-driven executive leaders at the federal and state level to co-design and implement large-scale public policy and organizational change efforts. She has worked with the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development, U.S. Department of Education, State of Washington, State of Minnesota, Hennepin County, Pew Charitable Trusts, and the Casey Family Foundation.

Kate holds a master of public affairs from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota and a bachelor’s degree in political science from UW–Madison.
