Biography
Ella Tschopik manages the IT side of the Public Service Desk at MERIT in the School of Education. She trains and manages students, oversees the departmental imaging process, triages tickets and oversees academic computer labs in the School of Education as well. Ella is an active member of ACM SIGUCCS and is Program Co-Chair for the 2024 conference in Chicago. Ella also leads a Girl Scout Cadette troop and volunteers as Treasurer for her Girl Scout Service Unit. Before joining the MERIT staff in 2015, Ella worked at DoIT managing the Union South InfoLab and before that she ran an in home daycare and before that was Volunteer Coordinator for Girl Scouts of Wisconsin – Badgerland. Ella enjoys being outside, spending time with her family and playing board games.
