Cybersecurity Governance, Risk, and Compliance Manager
Amy Diestler serves as the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine and Public Health Cybersecurity Governance, Risk, and Compliance Manager. Her current responsibilities include helping coordinate the implementation and execution of a proactive information security program while leading a team charged with operating and maintaining a governance, risk, and compliance portfolio by providing consultation and guidance on data security and regulatory compliance. Prior to this role, she worked as an IT Governance, Risk, and Compliance Analyst at TDS Telecommunications, LLC and a Senior IT Auditor & Consultant at Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP. She has worked on software implementations, IT risk assessments, IT strategic planning roadmaps, security incidents, and IT policies and procedures documentation.
She holds a GIAC Security Leadership Certification and is a Certified Information Systems Auditor. She earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from St. Norbert College.
