Biography

Kris joined MERIT (School of Education) as Public Services Manager in 2019. In this role, they provide leadership and coordination of MERIT public services, including the service desk–an integrated service point specializing in library circulation, research services, and AV & IT support. Their work is centered on supporting future educators and providing access to resources. Kris is passionate about removing barriers and connecting people to what they need. Prior to MERIT, Kris worked as a librarian at Madison College where they focused their work on engagement & inclusion, partnership building, and teaching & learning. Kris holds a Masters of Library and Information Studies from the UW iSchool and undergraduate degrees in Communication Arts and History, also from UW-Madison. Before becoming a librarian, Kris worked for UW-Libraries at Memorial Library in Access Services.
