Biography

Ron Jetty is the Director of DoIT’s Information Technology Academy (ITA) program. Ron joined DoIT as Assistant Director of DoIT Academic Technology — IT Pre-College Outreach in July 2015. Prior to arriving at DoIT, Ron worked as the Director of PK-16 Initiatives for the University of Wisconsin System Administration where his duties included serving as the System liaison to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, and other stakeholder groups involved in PK-12 education and teacher education. As PK-16 Director, Ron was also involved in a number of state and national PK-16 initiatives, including College and Career Readiness, and educational standards and assessments.

Ron started his career as a school teacher in Stockton, California and was also an Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership at Miami University in Oxford, OH and a Teaching and Learning Consultant for the Wisconsin Education Association Council. He received his Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
