Biography

Troy joined UW-Madison recently as the Portfolio Manager in the IT Center of Excellence. He has a broad IT background and has worn many different hats including systems analyst, project manager, business analyst, release manager, and consultant. He has earned PMP, ITIL, and CSM certification. While much of his time was spent with healthcare systems, he has also worked in business operations, data privacy, and software development and implementation.

Biography

Jason Erdmann is a UW-Madison alumnus who is an IT Project Manager for the School of Education and has been working for them since 2000. In his current role for the School of Education, he works with departments and users on IT projects, hardware and software support, networking, and security. He is also active on the campus level as co-chair of Leadership Improvisation, co-chair of the Policy Planning and Analysis Communications committee, co-chair of UW Madison IT Talks Technical, and as a member of the IT Professionals group and ITLP Forward. Outside of work, you will find Jason spending time with his family and doing volunteer work for the National Ski Patrol as both the patrol director of the Tyrol Basin Ski Patrol and as an Outdoor Emergency Care instructor.

Biography

Rich Gassen is the Printing Production Manager @ DoIT’s Digital Publishing and Printing Services. He is also the chair of Campus Supervisors Network, a CoP for managers on campus to network and train to help them excel in their roles as leaders. Part of Rich’s contributions to CSN is to maintain a web presence using the WiscWeb WordPress service through DoIT. He has 30 years of experience in graphic design, photography, and web design, which allows him to create effectively for communicating the CSN’s message in print and on the web.

Biography

Chuck Goehler is a Sr. SQL Server database administrator working on the DoIT, DRMT team. In his role here at UW-Madison, Chuck’s goal is to provide managed, reliable and secure SQL Server environments to campus.
Beginning in Computer Security at Kimberly-Clark Corporation in Neenah WI, Chuck has over 20 years of experience working in the IT field, the past 18 working with SQL Server at Kimberly Clark, Physician Plus, J.J. Keller, and the West Corporation, he has been with the Division of Informational Technology (DoIt) the past two years.
In his free time Chuck enjoys making music, golfing, water color painting and spending time with his family.

Biography

Laura Grady is a User Experience Architect with the University’s Center for User Experience. Passionate and inquisitive advocate for inclusive design, she has spent more than 20 years delivering human-centered experiences through content strategy, UX research and design, service design, and marketing campaigns. She is an unapologetic advocate for accessibility, fostering relationships and partnerships, and supporting a positive and collaborative work environment. Known for developing leadership skills in herself and others, she pursues opportunities to make a difference in the lives of students, parents, faculty, and staff. She enjoys year-round outdoor activities, reading, movies, and board games with her husband and kids. Laura holds bachelors’ degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the University of Wisconsin‑Stevens Point, and a masters-level certificate in user experience.

History of Getting Digital Light Images into the EMR


Biography

Mike has a B.S. in Zoology and Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin –Madison. Mike uses his knowledge of digital imaging, immunohistochemistry, in-situ hybridization and molecular diagnostics to facilitate the research of the dermatology staff physicians. As an EA matrixed analytic and honest data broker, Mike also creates, maintains and queries the research databases for dermatology clinical trials. He has been with the Dermatology/Mohs department for 30 years. Mike is a respected oenologist and entomologist as well as an amateur mycologist and wildlife photographer.

Biography

Tomomi Imamura is the Enterprise Cybersecurity Architect in the Office of the Chief Technology Officer at UW-Madison. In this role, she supports institutional initiatives by designing and advancing enterprise cybersecurity architecture aligned with strategic and operational priorities. Driven by a strong commitment to serving the campus and the broader higher education community, Tomomi actively engages with national higher education cybersecurity groups to stay informed on emerging initiatives, trends, and best practices. She also contributes her expertise to collaborate efforts aimed at strengthening cybersecurity posture across higher education institutions. Tomomi holds multiple professional certifications, including Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), GIAC Web Application Penetration Tester (GWAPT), and GIAC Penetration Tester (GPEN). Since 2022, she has also served as a Peer Penetration Tester for REN-ISAC (Research and Education Networking Information Sharing and Analysis Center). She completed the Big Ten Academic Alliance Information Technology Leaders Program (ITLP) in 2015. Fluent in both Japanese and English, Tomomi enjoys cooking Japanese cuisine and biking in her free time.
